Parents & Families,
I cannot believe that we are in our final few days of the 2016-17 school year. It seems like every year we say this, but the year just seemed to have flown by! For those of you with fifth graders who will be moving on from elementary school, we wish you the greatest success and memories at the secondary level. For those of you moving over the summer and starting a new elementary school next fall – all the best in your new adventure! For those of you returning next year to Minnehaha, have a great Summer Break and we look forward to continuing the journey next year!
A few staffing announcements for next year that we are aware of at this time:
– Kirsten Copeland, current associate principal, will become the new principal at Washington Elementary
– Lee Gunter, current full-time counselor, will become the new associate principal/counselor at Truman Elementary after ten years here at Minne
– Siobhan Griffin, current part-time counselor (Wed & Fri), will be our full-time counselor
– Haley Maahs, 4th grade teacher, will be moving to Hawaii
– Brittany Landon, current long term kindergarten teacher, will take over as a 1st grade teacher next year
– Morgan Miller & Jenny Budde, both current 1st grade teachers, will be starting new adventures in 3rd grade next year
– Carl Gibson, current 2nd grade teacher, will be joining the 1st grade team next year
