Minne Parents & Families,

What a busy month!  The increasing sunshine & longer days are certainly a welcome sight – bring on the warmth!

With two weeks to go until Spring Break, there are quite a few things going on at Minnehaha.

First, be sure to review (ideally with your child) his/her report card for Trimester 2, which is going home today.  Celebrate the successes, even if they are small.  Dig into areas where your child didn’t quite hit the expected target, and support in the creation of actual steps & measures that your child can take to improve in specific areas for Trimester 3.  Write these down, and remember to check in with your child over the next few months.  Don’t hesitate to connect with your child’s teacher with any questions or for ideas and tips – you are a huge part of your child’s education and growth!  Keep in mind the concept of “growth mindset” – in this newsletter is a brief read with some good reminders about our perspective we have in life and how we can foster this with our kids.

Second, calendar the Girls’ Basketball Skilleree on March 25, and the Boys’ Basketball Skilleree on March 26 – both of these are at Roosevelt Elementary after school; you’ll want to be sure and be there to support your baller if someone you know is participating.

Third, calendar our March Minne Meet mtg on March 26 at 9:30 in the Partnership Gallery; we’ll be reviewing the current School-Parent Compact & Student-Parent Handbook, and discussing potential revisions for next school year.

Last, don’t forget about some intentional plans for SPRING BREAK – even if they are just hanging around and relaxing!

Please don’t hesitate to call or check-in with me anytime,

Troy
