Minnehaha Parents & Families,

1OO!

This Tuesday marks the 1OOth day of school this year!  While our bigger kids typically don’t get too excited about it, our younger students get pretty excited and it’s a pretty fun day of counting, sorting, and celebrating!  Remember to take some time over the next week or so to compliment and encourage your children on their efforts and commitment this year – one of my favorite quotes (I have a picture of Russell Wilson but I’m sure he just borrowed it, too) is… “no one said it was going to be easy, but it’s definitely worth it.”  School can be hard this time of year; our students can get tired, home lives are busy, it’s wet and dark, and our teachers are pushing hard here at school.  Remember to celebrate and let your kiddos know that their hard work is worth it!

Levies!

This week, voters approved the two levies (school basic programs/services & technology) that were on the ballot this past Tuesday.  The more than 50 years of continuous community support from the community is truly incredible.  I am proud to be a part of VPS!

It’s Wet!

Please send your children to school with outside gear (long pants, coats, umbrellas, boots, etc) – we go outside!  J
