Dear Minnehaha Families,
Welcome to a new school year! As we prepare to welcome students back to Minnehaha, I want to share how excited we are for the year ahead.
One of the things I value most about Minnehaha is our community. A school is much more than a place where children come to learn. It is a place where they build relationships, take risks, experience success and challenges, and grow. We want every child and every family to feel that they are an important part of our Minnehaha community.
We also know that educating children is a team effort. Families are our children's first and most important teachers, and we are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you. Your knowledge of your child, your hopes for them, and your involvement in their education are incredibly important. Together, we can support each child's learning, well-being, and sense of belonging.

This commitment guides our work every day. We care deeply about your children and want them to feel known, safe, respected, included, and supported. At the same time, we believe every student is capable of learning and growing.
This year, we will continue strengthening teaching and learning, with a focus on literacy, academic language development, and strong instruction aligned to grade-level standards in every classroom. We will also continue building a school community where students feel connected, included, and engaged.
Strong schools are built through relationships and teamwork. My hope is that Minnehaha continues to be a place where families feel welcomed, informed, heard, and comfortable reaching out. We may not always have every answer, but we will approach our work with care, honesty, and a shared commitment to doing what is best for our students.
